Sc. 01 · the brief
A QR code should take a minute and last for years.
The brief: one app that does the whole job, from what the code opens to how it looks to who scanned it. It follows the job in three steps, content, design, export, and it never makes anyone leave to finish.
Sc. 02 · what we built
Sixteen kinds of code, each with its own page.
Website, Wi-Fi, PDF, link list, vCard, business, images, WhatsApp, menu, apps, coupon, payment, event, review, location and form, each with a live phone preview of the page it opens. A smart code changes where it points after it is printed, counts every scan and can sit behind a password.
Sc. 03 · the design
Style every pixel, and see if it still scans.
Nine module patterns, separate shapes and colours for eye frames and centres, logos, frames with captions, error correction and quiet zone, saved as your own templates. Scan Score grades the result live and warns before a bad code reaches the printer. There is a 3D engine too, for codes that stand up as objects.
Sc. 04 · the numbers
Every scan answers a question.
Eight views read every code: overview, timeline, locations, devices, the rhythm of local hours, behaviour, A/B comparison with other codes, and export. Repeat rate, time to first scan and unique against returning are all there, per code and across the whole account.
Sc. 05 · where it stands
Live on the web, moving into the app.
qrengineer.com is live with a free tier and a paid one. The app takes every function of the site into five tabs, Create, Codes, Scan, Analytics and Account, and the rule of the move is that nothing gets removed.
